The gauntlets are glued and primed now. Just waiting for them to thoroughly set then I can just finish them off with a bit of filler along the seam...

AGAIN - Very nice work. I am planning to trim my gauntlets tonight. But I won't get them all filled, sanded, primed like you.

I'm a lot slower (lazy?!)

Looking forward to more. Thanks for all the updates!

Getting there slowly, most item have been primed 3 times. Just waiting for my 600 grit wet n dry I ordered from the Bay to finish off these bits. They'll also need a holder attachment
on each part so they can be clamped be chromed.

Remaining to do and complete are the leg armour. And the scabbard. The 2 hardest parts for my so far was the shoulders and the leg. It took ages trying to get them 100% symmetrical. But there not. I made a few mods until they are near enough as not to be noticed once all chromed up. I cant 100% finished my boot armour until my new boots arrive.

Shoulder to were a little difficult trying to sort out what goes where and how? Lots of marking out with a felt first and seeing what they would look like.

As always

NICE!

Say, can you take some photos of the forearm armors... I cut mine last night, but getting the two halves together seems tricky. There must be some overlap built into the parts... I was wondering how much you trimmed yours down (since we have the same parts).

THANKS

Man your going to town on this, and it looks great. I see you have two helmets, the newer design below, and the old original up on top. Is that a back piece you bought earlier?

Well its that time. All the parts are finished primed sanded and ready to goooo. So It's off to the Chromers' this Friday. They have quoted me about 2 weeks.

Everything is 100% ready to go except the Boot armour. I messed up a little trimming the boots, although it was perfectly passable I've decided to order some new parts as I really didn't want to compromise on this build and wanted everything as good as I could get.

You can see that each part has had a tab either glued or a removable tab added to it. This is so the chromer can hold each item without having to mark the actual item. Other prop makers would have had the armour chromed then cut the pieces out. I wanted to do the job properly.

I will post some update shots when I get the armour back......

Can't wait to see your fully chromed armor... you did a great job so far and all that in a record time!

I also like the pics of you wearing the Kropserkel helmet while looking at the your other two helmets.

Do you plan to have both helmets silver chromed? Or did one of them receive a gold chrome finish as well?

HA! I love this photo - is this "LONSDALE LONDON" the name of the baddest bounty hunter of them all?
He is the legendary amok Cylon Centurion that not only bested Bobba Fett, he even destroys fellow Cylon Centurions and mounts their heads on sticks.

EXCELLENT WORK my friend!

Paul, co owner of VMC took some time out to explain the process and very kindly showed me around (and let me video) the factory and talked me through the process. Paul is a real genuine guy who showed real interest in the costume and what i was making. He even made me a coffee. For the compleat Cylon costume including an extra Lid hes charging
