CYLON VOICES (How were they originally done?)
Hello Cylon fans! Some of you know me from selling various Cylon parts on Ebay as I've thrown the "Voice CD" in as a bonus. It is one hour long and contains vocoder sounds done by me personally. The effect of this cd is that you boost the volume (preferably on an mp3 player with an amplified speaker) so that it appears you are talking as a real Cylon and boy does it draw attention!!
What turned me on about the Cylons as a little kid watching the show when it originally aired was the voices. How come nobody seems to be interested in how the voices were done?? I mean to me that is what REALLY makes the Cylon a Cylon.
Well, just to let you all know by coincidence here is the machine that was used to make their voices if you go to ******************UPDATE**THIS IS AN ERROR** (Ebay item # 7410468226. The thing about this ancient dinosaur is when you turn the power on and use it's only internal tone generator, the sound of the red eye starts sweeping from left to right, bet you didn't know that!)************** I'm still looking into taking out a loan for this baby!!!
PLEASE STANDBY FOR NEW UPDATED INFORMATION ON HOW THE CYLON VOICES WERE ORIGINALLY DONE (COMING SOON)*****

Don't get me wrong, Hyperdyne labs scanners and vocoders are the genious work of Mr Shima. But you are comparing apples and oranges.GoldCylon wrote:80sKidCylon wrote:The only vocoder we know of is from Hyperdyne Labs.
Sure you can spend roughly a few hundred dollars on a vocoder but if you are "Crazy" like me I am contemplating on one day spending the $7,000.00 on the EXACT machine used in the original voices!!!!!
