Hand-Schaub's finally getting somewhere thread! NEW SCULPTS!

Post by Hand-Schaub » Sat Feb 20, 2010 8:40 pm

It's been quite some time since I posted anything here. Nice to be back in action again!

Over a year ago I started sculpting new tooling for a classic Centurion. After meeting Dale I was able to improve what I knew about the Cylons and consequently I had no choice but to make everything...accurate as possible. Well I finally did a few test pulls just to see if my tooling worked and so far it looks like it is. Linked here is a web site which shows my current progress and some notes on construction... sorry about the typos I simply don't feel like going back to change it. I know there are a lot of highly trained craftsmen here but please keep in mind that these are tests and not final pieces.

Brian - WOW
You are my new hero!

Could you PM or email details on your vacform machine? I have a few ideas for my own in my head... I was wondering what you have to get such great parts.
Excellent work.

Any chance you have a photo of the bottom of the back, of the back pack? Where it curls back down toward the lower back? I can't quite see how your parts seam up there. Looking very VERY nice. A great sculpt on your masters, the parts show you put a lot of work into the project.

Yeah Brian awesome work. Great detail on what you have done, and man you sure did rework some of those parts to bring them into a very screen accurate realm. Thanks for the nod also, but you did a large part of that via photos before you met up with Cy. Good work buddy.
