If you have a spare $25000-35000 lying around, here is your chance to bid.
A question to Dale. You have one of the original suits, and I believe there were 30 made (correct me if I am wrong). Is the location of all 30 sets known?
Also how many lots are supposedly broken up? I am supposed to have an original gauntlet amongst the bits and pieces I purchased a while back.

That Cylon on Profiles is a mystery Cylon to a few original owners I have talked with. Unknown who owns it, but we have an idea.
Original 29 Cylons were made, and that is said based off the total number of under suits that were made. Many suits over the year long series were destroyed when filming. This was very clear on the pilot showing a Cylon exploded when Jolly blew it away from the Land Ram during the escape. This was the begging of the total count getting smaller. No other suits, besides the original 29 were ever made. The next major suit count down was the Cylon chasing down Starbuck in the water. Besides a stunt man tripping, and going under water, the suits plum color was washed out, and the pond had a very purple look to it for a while after that. Those suits later on became brittle and over a period time broke up and fell apart. One of those water long suits also became the suit that was used in two other episodes that is easy to point out. The Cylon that was taken apart my the Dr when he was trying to figure out how the Cylons work, and then put back together for Baltar's Escape. That same suit then made its final showing on the Return of Starbuck.
Now as for the price of the Cylon, that isn't a bad price, I would think it will sell for that or more.
Note this Cylon doesn't have a rifle, or blaster, or even a belt to hold the sword, so it is a bit short handed as a complete Cylon. Those 3 items will cost about $3500 to buy if you can find them.
A total count of Cylons isn't really known, but at most of 12 are left, and only 2 are 100% screen used complete. I have extra parts and pieces myself, and maybe over a period of time buying a part here and there I can slowly put a Cylon back together.

Thanks for the little history lesson Dale. Amazing how I can still learn new things about this hobby after all these years.
I was reading about the 50 models of 'Tuckermobiles' (?) that featured in the 80s movie with Jeff Bridges. Three were destroyed in crashes (I think) and the location of the other 47 are all databased.
Now cylon custumes aren't as easy to fake as say 'original series phasers', but fakes in the prop world are a sad truth. There may be people who believe they have a 100% original cylon when what they really own is a mish mash of the real thing and replica items.
Anyway I am happy to piece together a replica cylon, and I appreciate that you are here to help both me and others. Thanks again Dale.

Interesting looking at the belt pieces on this eBay auction, that they were still square unlike your ones Dale which you have shown on your great tutorial (please note that I am not alluding to anything by pointing out the difference).
I wonder how many variations existed between the actual cylon costumes. After all when the props were made nobody would have guessed that crazed fans would have been comparing the differences.
It is worth noting that the TK armour in Star Wars varied between each of the first three movies, and of course there was the differences between 'hero' and 'stunt' versions.

The belt buckle boxes were the single most damaged item. Go figure, but from a guess they were just knocked off via handling of the belt to recharge it, and also clipping them while walking. Of the 7 that are original on my belt, and a other original piece not a single one are cut the same. It was a 100% free hand cut.
