Came across these films that look like are primarily used for automotive esthetics, and I saw C.O.R.A. posted something on them a couple years ago, and it seems theres been a few other postings/mention of the film & vacu-chrome alternative, but sice then, has anyone successfuly tried the film method out, in particular? Since they're heat formed like any other vehicle wrap, is this a possible less expensive candidate to chroming plastic parts or using those pseudo-chrome spray paints? I haven't really read any definitive "yes, this product rocks," or an absolute "no way Jose!" If no...why doesn't/won't the film work? As a reletive newb on these forums, I try to do some basic searching before posting a question, but I'm guessing that from the lack of reviews on the chrome film, I take it its just not being used or is not effective, which is good to know before I buy a sample yard of it and try it on a few surfaces

On another note, just out of curiosity, has anyone tried their own hand at home (DIY) electroplating?
