Rob's Cylon build

Today I had a big parcel arrive from Brian.

The lid..

I am so chuffed!!

This is pretty much ready to get chromed (I have the company that did the original C-3PO ready).

Armour has also arrived i judt need to assemble it all.
I had Brian do a lot of the work as in trimming etc.. I would do it myself however I live in a very small apartment and I have a few projects on the go!

So the build really starts from now!

Ha - I saw "Gary" too. Glad it got to you in a timely manner. You never know with International post. I'm looking forward to seeing that chromed up. A little tape on the seems and that guy will rock! Good luck with the rest of the build - keep us updated :)

Couldn't resist.

At the moment I don't have a mount for the LED's however they do fit perfectly into the eye slot so I was thinking of adding the diffuser straight into the slot? creating no need for a mount and making more room in the lid for my nose!

I don't have any spare time to work on this for a couple of weeks. but will sure to keep you all updated.

Brian (Hand-Schaub) has done a great job on the lid. I am two minds to fill the seam in and make it flawless or to go screen accurate and use chrome tape once its chromed?

Thats buddy!

I got off lightly with custom charges as well so all good! I have taken a week off work in a couple of weeks so I can catch up with all my projects. (I'm also 85% through an Mk3 Ironman).

I need a bigger place!!

cool! Yeah, the lid is meant to be screen accurate but a little work and it can be seamless.

Through much rubber to mold, I made a new sculpt on the back of the scanner holder so you shouldn't need any other mount. I intend to just insert the diffuser and hot glue to lights in the holder. :cylon:

vacu-form with resin "horseshoe" and resin scanner/light holder. Grill is vacu-form off of metal original.
