Hello from Arizona
Just acquired a Cylon suit. I'm a member of the 501st Legion, so I got to thinking if there was a group for (closet) Cylons. Don't know who made it. The helmet and backpack are fiberglass, the rest is chromed plastic. The helmet has a BEAUTIFUL scanning eye. Anyways, the previous occupant was slightly taller and thinner than me, so I have a bit of tinkering to do.

Re: Hello from Arizona
Don't know when it was made, but it came from Germany. Here's a pic of the suit being worn by the previous occupant:
and me doing a test fit
and here I'm thinking about amature rhinoplasty to remove a certain facial feature...
Will work on getting better pics up. Kinda hard to hit that self-timer button and get the cylon gloves on and in front of the dang camera in less than 10 seconds...

Hello from Arizona
Came Germany? Looks good. Looks maybe like a Krop suit then maybe a few replica parts to replace the bad Krop pieces. Welcome on board. Hey Red Eye any fellow German Cylon buddies sell off their suit you might be aware of.

Re: Hello from Arizona
Mdublade, welcome - HELLO from Cylon-Knight.
@Skullbeast - the suit wasn't made "that long" ago.
@GoldCylon & Red Eye - you know that suit... *think hard*
Mdublade you'll be pleased to know you can learn and see all about your suit - it is no stranger to this forum.
Your suit came from Germany - but it was "born" in the U.K.
Look familiar??? This is your suit - original owner:
Cylon-Knight's scanner eye knows that awesome suit!
Your suit is none other than our own Nashslah's creation! Nashslah is a 501st member too (Vader - yes - a tall guy). He is a great guy with crazy skills - and his Cylon IS rocking.
The kit is from CORA, and the eye is from Hyperdyne - and the stickers from Cylon-Knight
You can go back in time and see how it was made from the START - here in nashslash's thread (one of several in the forum that involve the suit/its parts):

I am happy to see the suit in the hands of a new loving owner, it has moved around a bit - I hope it can stay with you for some time. Enjoy the site, any technical (admin type) questions about the forum just PM me -and again- WELCOME.

Welcome aboard the Cylon Basestar, Mbublade!
It's nice to know that nashslash's former Cylon costume went into good hands!
Any plans for updating it a bit (like adding some additional ribbing on the neck, etc.)?

Re: Hello from Arizona
My problem looking at the photos on my cell phone they are tiny, but the thought of Nashlash did cross my mind. The location of Germany threw me. I guess I forgot it was sold off to someone in Germany. Ack....good sign I am loosing track of the world population of Cylon location. Our numbers are growing.

We need a world map and pin points of Cylon costumes. This sounds like something Cylon-Knight would be really good at. In the near future there will be four additional suits in the Nor California area.GoldCylon wrote: I am loosing track of the world population of Cylon location. Our numbers are growing.

I thought I recognized Nash's build up. Cal has quite a few suits these days, go Hand-Schaub.

Re: Hello from Arizona
armour from USA shipped to UK... built, then sold in the UK.. then sold to Germany.. then back to the USA. Hes' had a 2 year round trip I think he needs his own passport too. I hope hes not to battered and scratch up yet awhile... as john said theres a full build in the forums here. I did rush to finish the undersuit and never bothered to add ribs to the neck as i wanted to wear him for MEM and there are some pics here too. enjoy the suit ....
