As you can tell I got bored and started doing the 3D Modelling for a Cylon Centurion so far I have the 3D Model for the Helmet done still working on the rest but these 3D Models will become Pepakura Files in a short time, for those who do not know Pepakura is a way of building a 3D Object from Paper to put it in short.

NICE! Do you need special software to print out the files? Or are they PDFs or something?

PDF's are a challenge to do I was doing them before pepakura and I've been doing this a total of about 8 years. In order to open and make the Helmet a paper model I have to use Pepakura Designer to make the Pep File then once that's done people can use Pepakura Viewer to print it out. I can make it in PDF as well that's a little tricky though but it can be done. I need to know one thing for this though from the bottom of the mouth grill to the top of the mohawk how tall is it? Or if someone knows the height of the helet itself that's good too.

Hard to pin it down EXACTLY as it is 3D, but I measure on my helmet:

From the top of the Mohawk to the bottom of the CENTER of the mouth grill is 11 1/4"
From the top of the Mohawk to the bottom of a "tusk" (that frame the grill, the lowest part of the helmet) I get 12 1/4"

So there is about 1" difference between the bottom CENTER of the grill and the tusks. (But keep in mind it curves - NOT straight across)

Hope this helps. I need to look into pepakura more... is that a free program? Are there size limits to what you can draw up (like, for example, could you do a full size R2-D2... not that I want to, just can you go that big)?

I've done files for a full R2-D2 that was tricky. For really big files like that they have to be broken up into sections so it's easier for the unfolder and the builder. The Viewer is free, but the Designer if you want to save your work it costs $38 before I registered mine I always made the model then printed it right then and there so I could build it without having to save it. The Designer is 100% Free to download it only costs to be able to register and save files.

That looks great. I wish I had it in me to do that, just I want quicker results over investing the time it takes to arrive to that level.

Should have a printable file by tomarrow. Right now trying to reduce the poly count without losing a lot of detail. Something I just noticed GoldCylon is that you are living where I was born. One of these days I'll move back my father currently lives on the streets there.

Indeed SIR-ROUND is right - Bazooka Jo has one - URL is: http://www.bazookajo.me.uk/PaperModels/Cylon/Cylon.htm

I've made the helmet once. It was pretty cool.
