Great video of your new Cylon helmet! What did you use for the sweeping eye? It looks super bright.

Update.

Following on the the work in had done on the belt. After I had worn it a few times I realized that the foam blocks were not going to hold up for long. So I decided to exchange them for wood. After cutting out the blocks I covered them using some sticky backed felt (ah my favourite) velcroed on the Chrome boxes then secured them to the belt using screws and washers.

The lid i've started working on the lid again now, now that the eye is secured I wanted to try and pad everything out and make it more comfortable and keep the electronic safe. Space is at a real premium in there. I hot glued the switch to the lid. The battery still needs mouing and the rest of the padding needs sorting still.

I've start to make my undersuit and here is a video of how to make the RIB sections of the undersuit.
NOT as hard as you think it is really but very boring and tedious..

For a details regarding my undersuit build see this post..

Update

I finished off my boots by removing the front buckle and strap. I actually cut the strap off the boot by cutting the stitching of the boot and taking them to a local shoe menders and getting him to restitch the boot, as I didn't want any unsightly bulges in the boot where I had cut the strap off. I wont bother to remove the upper strap as they will be concealed by the boot armour. As for the pattern, design. I painted the boots by hand using a fine model brush. I then coated the boots with a clear Lacer to stop the silver enamel paint from rubbing off onto everything... I weren't to sure of the exact pattern or anything but I though as long as there both identical what the hell. they don't look as shiny in real life its just the flash indoors and also the marks on the toe are actually a reflection from the TV.

What do you think guys ?

Right, I think it looks great, too! Good work!!

I still have to find a way in order to avoid the peeling of the silver paint (especially in the kick pleats) on my boots as well...
