A friend of mine showed me a website that you guys can probably use if you don't have access to a chroming shop or the funds to have stuff chromed the website is here and hopefully this will help some of you out you will need a airbrush to apply it. http://www.alclad2.com/

I have used that brand before. Beware that you need to apply a clear coat to the finished piece, and that allow is the place it lost points with me. Clear coating is very hard, and if you haven't been trained in it you won't like the results. Also the luster rate on it is only about 75% of true chrome. That is a big let down, but if you need to keep a tight budget I would say it is your best deal unless you want to save a few bucks more, and use the off the shelf chrome in the shaker can of spray paint. Remember use a extremely high black gross paint as your base coat first. The luster of the Alclad uses the base coat as its source of the luster.

That was do by a pro, and the rate a pro charges it would cost about the same as if it was chromed by the pros. Also a few camera tricks used to hide the imperfection of the luster rate. By the way a luster rate is gauged the reflection of a mirror. A true chrome will never reach 100% luster, but it can reach a 99% level if I recall. The Cylons should have a 97% or better to have the show quality or night mare camera op.... :huh: :cylon: :cylongold:
