A Few Question About Eye Sound Effect...

I'm guessing that the sound effect that you guys use is generated by an MP3 player which is constantly looping (repeating) the sound file.

What I'm wondering is:

• How big of a sound file do you you use so that it's not that noticeable when the file restarts?
• Where can one obtain a good clean sample (i.e. free of background noise)?
• Whats the best MPS player to use, considering price, battery life and size?
• Do most of you use an amp board and speakers or self-contained pre-amped speakers?

I have a sound I made from a sample of the show. It rocks. Very small, one scan that loops perfectly.

I have no Idea about the MP3 player, etc. Have not got that far yet - HA! You tell me

Once you get a looped version of the clip you can pull from YouTube Galactica 1980 The Night the Cylons Landed, or who will cough up a looped copy from you. Any MP3 player will work even a iPod, or your iPhone. Audio out (headset jack) into a battery powered portable amp that runs about $30 and Velcro it into the chest, and that is going to be the winner. You will be driven crazy about 30 minutes into the loop of the file playing, and never want to be a Cylon again...LoL
