KS undersuit..

Post by Darth Clayton » Sat Aug 29, 2009 10:50 pm

Hello again,

I received my KS cylon costume today, and I must say it looks AWESOME!! I did have a couple of questions though (Scott is on vacation so I can't ask him) :( Which side is the front of the pants? (plain side or side with the little patches), and where do the larger black things with elastic go? (same type of thing that is on the arms of the shirt)

I will be making my debut at DragonCon this year!

Thanks for the help, and if this isn't the proper area to post this then please feel free to move it..

Congratulations on your Cylon costume!

Let me try to answer your questions: The side with the two large applications on the legs are the front of the undersuit, as you can see here:

The ribbing has to be worn over the stomach, like here:

Hope this may help you...

Be sure to use Velcro the throat plate to the back side of the top of the chest piece. It will help hold the toilet seat (back pack) still while trooping around. Congrats on the suit also.

Congratulations! I will be the other Cylon at Dragon*Con this year. I haven't heard of any others coming anyway. I would love it if there was a whole army.

Darth Clayton and Cinnamon Toast, I'll be at DragonCon, but not with my Cylon this year. I'll come up to any Cylons I see and introduce myself. :)

Hopefully I'll have it at DragonCon if I can figure out how all this goes together. Pics aren't much help so far.. :(

I think I have most of it figured out, but I'm not quite sure on the collar and backpack. Do the backpack straps go under your arms and attach to the collar? Can't get a hold of Scott because he is on vacation, but he said it was pretty self explanatory.. YEAH RIGHT!!

Also, do you guys have fans mounted in your helmets? If so, where is the best place to mount them? :?

Scott...LoL.
Well the goofy way he has that set up is a joke, but criss cross the strap to help the back pack hide the straps. Also Velcro the chin plate on the back side to the chest plate. It will keep it still and from popping you in the mouth...well grill.

Ye sit is, but I am pointing out a certain part, and that is the plate in the center, You at least two strips of standard sized Velcro, or one large piece of the over sized stuff. Also your armor doesn't have the rib pieces in the Scott version, so that is why you have straps to hold your chest together.
PS CinnamonToast just bought a rib replacement kit for his Krop suit. Drop him a line to ask about some tips on setting the Krop suit up.

I have a Kropserkel Cylon, but mine was from the rough cut kit, so I'm not really sure how he sends out the completed costumes. Here are some pictures of what mine looks like now.

Awesome video.. Where did you get that fancy back strap? Mine just came with the black elastic.. Also mine didn't come with the piece that goes around your torso for the backpack, it just has the two up at the top that attach to the collar.. :?
