Here is a short video showing off some of the details of how to build the ribbed section of the under suit. This shows only how to build up the rib section. If you have any skills with a sewing machine I would try it myself. This presented to a seamstress already started is a good start on helping find someone that will finish it off. Most people don't want to even touch this project because of the major amount of detailed work that goes into this suit. I have had quotes as high as $2000 to build the suit, and that is me supplying all the materials needed to complete the suit. I have been lucky in regards that I have found 2 people that made 2 suits each for me. I not sure if I can be lucky enough to find a 3rd. Below is the link to the YouTube video.

GoldCylon... how much of each type of fabric do you think a Cylon suit takes? "X" number of yards for plum, "Y" number of yards for gunmetal gray, etc. etc.GoldCylon wrote:I bought the material except the fabric at a local fabric store. JoAnn or some other major store works.

I bought the gun metal vinyl online, and it over kill on the amount, but it was a single roll. I didn't keep the stuff because I forgot to pick it up from the seamstress when she was done, but it was very cheap. It was only about $25 shipped. The yards I think was 14 yards, and that was a bit of an over kill that left me with almost enough to make an other suit, but play safe and keep extra the material isn't that much money compared if your short, and now can't find the matching material to finish the suit. As for the welting cord I bought a roll of it, and I only had about 200 ft left of the roll. It was a smaller roll, not a large one.Cylon-Knight wrote:GoldCylon... how much of each type of fabric do you think a Cylon suit takes?
