Given the company I'm ordering from offers multiple colors, including black and silver, I felt this one was the best match. I came across a couple older posts that toych on the topic of mesh color. Am I far off with the gun metal?

Yes, gunmetal is the screen-accurate color.

It matches the color of the mouthpiece and sail panel decos on the helmet.

Oooh colors! Its like a Cylon Castro District parade ;) LOL
Seriously though CK, you have such an awesome and comprehensive site! Very informative and resourceful!

@RedaV -I called the company I'll be ordering from and they do in fact ship internationally. The only thing is, they don't give you the shipping cost until you ask for it before submitting your payment info upon them emailing you to confirm your order. Hope that helps!

Ordered my skirt today! As I'm a skinny Cylon I'm going to run with one piece to start with and see how easy or hard it is to join two pieces. Then might make a second order.

Thanks for all the help guys!

RedaV, good for you. Please let me know US$45 is for a piece of 18"x 30" or a piece of 18" x 60". I wrote them an email about it, but never get replied.

BTW, I am got to get mine on Monday. I will try to bargin with the store and tell them about the price listed on the US site. Maybe I can get some discount. Wish me luck :cylon:

Got my metal mash in gun metal just now. The color doesn't appear as good as I expected. Somehow it appears with greenish tone under the light, and isn't dark enough, but for the price it is very good substitute for completing the soft part of my cylon costume.

Thanks to the listing on "www.cutfabricinc.com", I was able to get 18" x 30" from my local shop for NT$1400 (they end up gave me NT$100 off for the piece), which is approximately USD 46 or 47, so that is about the same price if getting from "www.cutfabricinc.com". The shop owner told me if I want to buy more, they may be able to give me more discount, but I don't think I will need it any more :D

Best regards,
Azuma

I received mine today also and I am surprised how much I received! What I need to know is it comes in like a loop of the material! Do I need to cut it into one piece or should it be joined together! One side has the flat disc and the other side u can see how the links are joined together! Can someone with a screen accident armor please advise!

Regards

RedaV,

I think you are getting a 18" x 60" metal mesh. When I went to the store today, the metal mesh was in a loop like you mentioned. I told the store that the mesh is sold in 18" x 30" on-line for USD45 per piece, so the owner told me that she can sell me half of the sheet and gave me NT$100 off. And she just cut the mesh into two pieces by scissors, that is what you need to do with yours I think.

BTW, how much you paid for the shipping?

Best regards,
Azuma
