My studio scale Triangle ship has arrived.
I recently purchase a very small ship. The Triangle ship seen in the opening credits when the Rag Tag Fleet is forming. This small ship (8 inches) was a mystery ship till recently. The original filming model came out of hiding a few years ago when questions about it were asked. The owner pulled it out and showed off a few photos of it. Two builds that I am aware took place, and one became a kit. Here a photo of the kit as it arrived today.

Very cool Triangle!
Where are the little pointy wing tips at in the kit? In the bag or something?

Here are the detailed photos of it built. No not mine, but the reference.
The "I" beams are "L" shaped in the yellow backed photo. I guess I need to trim them up a bit.

Wow! Great photos. Thanks for sharing them - I thought the wing tips were more pointed upwards.
OH, you'll need this for your build.

Nice kit! I think I've seen some in-progress photos of it over at the RPF or Resin Illuminati.
Please post some photos of your finished miniature. I'll reserve some space for it in the gallery...

I picked this up from Kurt Kuhn's site ModelMagic http://www.modelermagic.com/?p=46978
I haven't really studied those detailed photos in 18 months or so. I guess it is time to bust this kit out start the clean up, and get to work on building it. It does have very tiny detailed parts so a good set of tweezers will be needed also. I'll post photos of the progress.

It is pretty clean. Great detail to the very small parts. Some of the smaller parts I can fit 2-3 on a penny at the same time. I see one small minor gap in the main ship itself, and that looks like a build defect over a casting problem.Bishop37 wrote:What's the casting like?

OK change it to I can fit about 5 parts onto a dime. Check it out before flash clean up with a dime in the upper left side of the photo.

Not that I am aware of. So far the build is going good. I built up a lot more than I excepted to. I am having a small problem so mapped out parts ID. Seems like some might be missing but haven't received much help from the seller/ kit maker. I think I am missing some parts.
