Moebius Models now has TOS line as well
Moebius Models who up until now had released model kits from the newest BG series now has plans to release the Galactica, Viper and Raider from TOS.
The fighters will be 1/32, meaning the Raider will be in scale with the Viper and therefore HUGE!

^^^ Indeed! Here's hoping for an accurate representation this time, and not just a second-hand purchase of Revellogram's molds.
I may appear unoccupied to you, but at the molecular level, I'm really quite busy.

1/32 isn't that around 1 foot long? Viper and Raider nice. That is a studio scale sized. Now if that is the size of the Galactica that isn't real impressive in size.

Sounds like it will be close to the original Revellogram scale. 1:4155 was it? Some weird number that nobody else ever used...

Is it in studio scale?

Some pics of the Moebius 1/32 scale CYLON RAIDER.
http://culttvman.com/main/?p=22891
It will be scaled to match the size of their other TOS & BSG2 kits. This gives their Raider kit a wingspan of 18 inches. It's going to be a big kit.
From what I have read about the TO VIPER kit it is very detailed - on a par with their BSG2 VIPER Mk.II kit. One of the best things about it is this kit will have landing gear - unlike the Revell/Monogram kits.

That's not the Moebius Raider. They painted up a studio scale Salzo Raider for Wonderfest. They're using it for reference on their Raider.

Re: Moebius Models now has TOS line as well
If that's what they're using as the master, then this will be absolutely awesome! That thing looks dead-on. Proper nose piece instead of that stupid box on the Revell and no more ridiculous torpedo holes in the front! Me likey!!
Although what I REALLY want to see is the prototype for the Big G herself. Since they seem to not have a problem using fan-made garage kits as their source material (since they are arguably more accurate and of a generally higher quality than most mass-market kits) I wonder if they'll use the Timeslip Galactica as the source for that one?

Re: Moebius Models now has TOS line as well
They have just come out with a 1/4105 scale BSG2 PEGASUS, this matches the scale for the BSG2 GALACTICA they already had on the market. If the do come out with a TOS GALACTICA I wish it would be more the size of the one from Revell/Monogram but I imagine it will most likely be the same scale as their other BSG kits.137th Gebirg wrote:Although what I REALLY want to see is the prototype for the Big G herself.
