Criteria for Screen Accurate Cylon Amor

What are the criteria or qualifications for screen accurate Cylon armor?

I have started my research and have started a parts and supplies list for my armor build, but I see a lot of conversation as to what is or isn't screen accurate. Is there a detailed guide that shows the criteria or qualifications?

I've heard a lot of costume/armor snobs (my brother-in-law is one) in the 501st and Rebel Legion, so I just wanted to have as much information as possible for my build.
