You know what's funny...I never noticed there were different color Cylons. I suppose watching Battlestar Galactica on a black & white tv set had it's drawbacks back in 1978.

Yikes, hate to be the heart breaker in the news that there were more than two, but three different color ranked Cylons. Gold being the Commander, and a brass colored Cylon, a mid level (unknown rank) maybe Flight Leader?, then the foot solider type, the standard chrome bumper silver.

Just thought I would take the opportunity to resurrect an old thread, as I have recently purchased a Kropserkel sword.

Overall I am more than happy with this purchase. Is it perfect? No, there are flaws - but it is very good value for money. The grip around the handle is nice, I am not sure how Scott achieved this though.

The sword itself (with an aluminum blade) is wonderfully made and surprisingly light. The end cap does have knurling - just not as prominent as Dale's hero sword.

The sheath appears to be about 2 cm shorter than the original (at least the copy that I have). The two halves are not 'mirrored' in that there is an overlap down one side (about 1 mm). The chroming (or vaccum metallising) is nice and shiny, but the surface is not flawless. There is a foam insert in the mouth of the sheath, which helps stop the sword from rattling. The mouth of the sheath is a little too wide, and the sword consequently does not sit flush in the sheath.

The straps are nicely positioned, although I will have to work out how to connect them to my belt.

Packaging was of an outstanding quality - no fears about damage in the post. Scott's communication was great - polite, friendly and prompt.
Turnaround time was good as well.

Overall a great product which all potential cylons should consider when gearing up. Highly recommended!

I'll have to pick one up. The sword I got from the Australia gentleman was really warped and basically really bad. It also didn't come with the blade. Just the hilt and scabbard.

Speaking of the fiberglass suit. Brad (the owner of the original suit where mine came from) has given me permission to cast the suit that the MIA guy on ebay got his pulls from. It took almost a year to get my suit from the maker. When I did get it...it was really pitted and the gel coat was sorely lacking on almost every piece. I've spent the last year bondoing up almost all the parts and have already made the molds sans a few pieces. I completed the helmet mold tonight and will see how 2 coats of gelcoat along with two layers of fiberglass looks like.

I'll post some pics when I'm done.

Hi Womo,

I would be interested in hearing how this project goes (perhaps you should start another thread here).

I too have one of the Australian fibreglass suits (what a nightmare getting that was).

There are a few pieces I am not happy with and I would like to bounce some ideas of you and see if you could do some 'replacement' pieces.

will do...I'm not happy with the shoulder bells at all.

I have all the molds done except for the backpack.

they came out really nice....now to get fiberglassin'

When I have something to post...I'll start a new thread for sure!

I'll have to agree with you on the shoulder bells as well.

Additionally my grill doesn't sit flush with the helmet.

But I would have to say I am very happy with the back pack!

I have a screen-used Cylon sword handle if anyone's interested in having the real deal. It's the wooden black part you grab. Actual part I got from Universal years ago. After Dale, I believe I have the most complete original Cylon sword. knightlife@sbcglobal.net
