Converted to Starbelly Bombers, the craft become vital as the 69th Squadron of the Earth Defenese Directorate under Major Noah Cooper (Peter Graves) was put back into active service as they flew an assault against the ruthless Commander Corliss (Robert Quarry), who threatens the Directorate with chemical weapons.
