This core phpbb update was a boring maintenance update.
The notes say it fixed a few rare bugs and a few more items run smoother. No new bells and whistles. (RATS! )

The extra add-on updates just account for the above core update - to stay current. Nothing new with them either. What a letdown, huh?

Hopefully, the next forum version or future add-ons will have some fun new stuff to play with. I keep my Cylon eye open for any add-on that would help better the site for us Cylons to find the Galactica!

Hot on the heals of the last update (since I was slow on that one), I've just installed the latest upgrade for our forum (3.2.4).

This update focused on security and rare bugs. No new toys yet for us poor Cylons.

And the security update... MY STARS! You'd need all of NASA and Mr. Data to compromise the site 5 different ways - all at once to exploit it.
I mean, I am glad they closed the vulnerability but good-gravy who even ponders such craziness. Must be Cylons!

Version 3.2.5 is now installed, came out yesterday. Just a few bugs corrected.

But, I've installed a new extension for symbols.
When you are typing a post, you'll note to the right, above the simile icons there are new tabs.
All sorts of special characters like: Ö ½ € Ω can be chosen from the four new panels.

Okay... got a few things today my fellow Cylons:

1. Updated to latest forum version, 3.2.7. If you encounter bugs, let me know.
2. A new media button - for posting videos from all sorts of places (i.e. YouTube).
   When you author a post, to the right of the font size drop down there is a button with a computer screen.
   Select that and then paste a URL in between the tags. It's that easy.
   
   Example:

   Code: Select all

   [media]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOuoVVxoGPg&t=9s[/media]

   Result:
   
   (Note: This new media setup will probably break past YouTube links. if you come across a thread with a bad video let me know, I'll fix it.)
    
3. You can change your font size preference, if you wish. (For us old and rusty 1978 Cylons).
   • User Control Panel
     • Third tab across the top > Board preferences
       Gives you three new settings:
       • Would you prefer the font to be larger? (Yes, set size. or No.)
       • Would you prefer a different font size for mobile devices? (Yes, set size. or No.)
       • Would you prefer ALL of the font to be bold? (Yes or No.)
    
4. Lastly, I've restored Red Eye's VIP-style, you'll notice posts by him in the forum are "outta-this-world" (a star-field background). #VIPperk he has earned time-and-again.
   

Still here? Then you'll be the fist to know that video link to the Solonite Charge from Bionic Moon Labs is going to be buzzing soon. The hero charge featured in the video will soon have a stunt double! No light, lower price - same super quality. A great new item to flush out your collection with and pretend to blow up a petrol dump... don't REALLY do it, because that's just mean - and we Cylons will cry.

A new, major, version of the forum has been released.
I'll soon be working on updating the forum to the latest and greatest... The Cylon Empire must remain on the bleeding edge of technology!
