For those of you that aren't sure who designed the Cylons it was Andrew Probert.
I have have had a few email exchanges with Andrew Probert over the past few days, and talked with Andrew about a few things. One the prototype Cylon suit that was built had a boot like item in the photo so I asked Andrew about this, and he said yes it was a boot before the soft boot was used.

Also in one of the conversation I mentioned the SD Comic Con event that is being put together, and I invited him to be part of the gathering.
" I would be happy to attend the SD Comic Con as your guest and we can talk more about that as the time draws nearer.
Thank you,
Andrew-"

GREAT NEWS! Awesome work GoldCylon.
That photo is so cool... seems like it was taken yesterday - not over 3 decades ago. It would be great if he could write up some info about it to share with us here on the forum - HINT HINT

Man this thing is looking like its going to be HUGE! All of us fans together in one place is enough to make me smile but adding in some of these people is amazing!
This gives me another idea...
I think I can get in touch with Terrance McDonnell (writer for Galactica). He just might might say yes to getting involved with this!

Sounds like a great idea to have Terrance there. On an other hand I sent Richard Hatch an email about 4 weeks ago, and no reply back about his involvement. I guess no words say much more than anything else, so looks like we are on our own setting this up and taking it foreword. Not that we haven't had a problem so far, but having Richard and access to Tom would have been great so time to dredge on our own now. Time to start putting this together again with out the direction of Richard.

GoldCylon - I know of another member on another fourm that has close ties to Richard Hatch, I'll get in touch with them on Sunday night when I have more time to be online. MAYBE.......

Richard Hatch goes to all sorts of comic conventions all the time. Shouldn't be to hard to locate him,

Getting a hold of Richard is very easy, but if he is busy he doesn't seem to reply back, and as for Comic Con he is going to be there, but not part of the Cylon Empire gathering at this time.

I bet that was a cost control deal. Probably cheaper to just paint some boots and a little plastic cuff - than to make an entire boot, then size it to actors, etc. etc.
