One Minute Galactica at it again
OK I have seen this guys work before on YouTube, and he does a pretty darn good job. He even has a Gary the Cylon series that is great slap stick stuff, but here is a good one. It is by far the longest, and maybe the best for last type of thing.

Mildly amusing. Nanoo, nanoo. You know...what bothers me the most about these videos is that I wonder if it's an original Galactica fan trying to be funny or is it a GINO fan making fun of our beloved original series. Whatever...I guess I wonder too much. Regardless, this guy spent a lot of time editing old clips together and creating new dialogue. Great work for anyone to do so I commend him.

Re:
I'm a fan of the original series. I'd have to be to spend anywhere from 5 to 10 hours on each episode. I hate a lot of TV series, but not enough to spend that amount of time immersed in them.Galactifan wrote:Mildly amusing. Nanoo, nanoo. Do you use Adobe Premiere to make them?

Nope, iMovie. Basically, it's all in the editing. I'd love to be able to do a few special effects now and then, but I don't have the software. And I probably wouldn't be able to figure it out even If I did.
I'm getting some help from Gold Cylon for the next episode. Ep 22 will be the first to feature "live" action.

Glad you let the cat out of the bag on that. I wanted to say something but it wasn't my project to speak out. So with that said I filmed 3 segments yesterday all on my own. Waiting for help just doesn't work out very well us I have a much better camera now so I can't wait to see comes of this. Also I hope the lead on the other Cylon footage can help Gary live long and prospor.

I have Premiere... but need a reason and footage to learn it! (hummm.... Maybe I could help with something simple, but need to try a test run on something... I'm an effects noob )
Send me a PM if you'd want to give it a whirl.

Actually, I've been thinking about the next ep of Gary and I've got a question if anyone can help.
In what episode did Baltar say "It isn't a request, it's an order." I thought it was WotG, when he was going to rendevouz with the Galactica, but it's not. Was it Living Legend?

Yes that is the Living Legend, as Lucifer is telling Baltar the other Baseship leaders aren't going to like that Baltar's ship is dropping back leaving the other two to tackle the Pegasus.

Okay, thanks. I've got the gist of the video's dialogue in my head now.

Re: One Minute Galactica at it again
A few weeks ago fellow member Hand-Schaub and myself did a bit more film work for OneMinuteGalactica. OMG sent us a script, and off we went suiting up as Gary the Cylon, and Mr Foster. OMG did a great job with his script, and edit work. I just saw the preview, and think that episode 23 will be up tomorrow. My girl friend watched it with me, and not easily impressed she loved it. So look for the live posting in a day or two.
A public thank you to Brian for his awesome help, and acting, and to OMG keeping the Cylon's alive and well, and bring us new fun stories.

And fun it was... OMG really did a great job of making my acting look... like acting. It proves it's all in the editing. What an honor to dawn the suit of Gary as well! I kept thinking to myself as Dale tugged at the suit to get it on me... "Man - threads age and get weak... don't hurt the precious"!
My girlfriend saw it as well and really liked it... she too is hard to impress. so a big thumbs up to OMG for doing a great job.
oh - the Tie was actually a special edition "help somebody" (kids I think) type tie from Van Heusen... like the way it is tied like a Cylon would do it?
Looking forward to this going public for all to enjoy.
