The Cylons eyes scanner back in the 70's used a bright light bulb. LED's back then weren't bright enought to cast an image that could be seen by that camera. So series on red bulbs were used. The power that was needed to keep the lights on for a period of time (30 mintues) was great. So the lights were powered with a camera man's battery belt pack. The version that was used was by Victory aka G & M Power. This company has long gone of of bussniess. An other belt that has about the same look is Cine 60. Each belt buckle section is square, and the G & M belt has a raised section in the center of the battery compartment.

I made contact with Victory the company that made the belt. They are checking into making more of the belts per my request. I asked for ten of the belts, and they said they would research it, and get back to me.

It has been a month since I made contatc with the Victory Battery company. They sent me a broucer on what they offer, with out saying they could made any special order belts. I guess those people looking to find the original sytle and type of belt will still have to search eBay, and else where to find the power belt.

Hey Dale,
Our 1st post. Anyway we finally located 1 of the owners to G and M. Well we found the owner belonging to the letter G: Gideon. We have been conversing online and by phone. Hope to hear from him today regarding the old style belt. This will really help us greatly. An authentic 7 section battery camera belt. We will update details as we get them.

Hi all am conversing with Gideon now via email. No history yet but he did find some old used goodies. You may preview the 5 jpegs below. Not for sale. If all goes well we'll buy it all but the one with the rectangular side box pouches. He's still looking and hopefully he'll locate more of the G & M camera belts COMPLETE! We'll take what we can find.

A custom belt is being made for us just for the G & M 7 section belt. He will be sending it to us soon!!! YIPEEEEE!!! Another piece of the puzzle found! Once the item is received we will see if it is at all feasible to reproduce this in a small qty. This is a must for uBer retentive original-like screen used accuracy. Hope to secure a dozen deal.

Now that is a score William. Is it just the shell, or is it going to have the battery inside the belt?

Just the shell

Yeah baby yeah! [ala Austin Powers] Don't need those batteries and power connection doo hickey. It's just the outer casing and belt.

Thats great. So does Gideon still have the original molds to form the belt, or is he working off the belt he has left. Also what is the damage on the pocket book.

We did not get to chat long enough to bring up the subject of the original molds. We are approaching him slowly to not bombard him with too many questions at first. No damage to the pocket book at all. He offered everything for $150 shipped. Yep all those pictured per the earlier posting on camera belts.

That is great price for what your looking for. I have a line of people looking for those belts, so say when and I will open the flood gates to place orders on the belts.
