That undersuit ROCKS!

Where did you get it from and how long do you had to wait until it was completed?

I'd like to see more detailed pics of it, if that would be possible...

Agreed on the amazing undersuit. Great costume, and you're so big like the original actors. Awesome!

I stubbled across it. Actually Chris D helped me find it. It was made for display only and for a 6' 8" person. After minor alterations and 4 trips to the tailor, it was done. I purchased this from either Cora or one of his frineds. Not cheap but worth every penny! Actually he made me an ubelieveable deal and I will never forget it.

I stand 6' 4" inches tall out of suit so in suit, nearly 7'.

I have multiple upgrades since those pictures and will post after our next CON in mid July. Or Knight I sould say ............ KUDO'S to Knight for helping. Thanks bud.

Boots.
Gloves ..... closer.
Glove stripe.
Louder sound:). hehe.
Ribs and back plate.

Thanks for all the great comments! It has been a long road. Not sure if one ever really finish's unless you have a screen used, lucky one's.

After closely examining the accurate under suit, God save the seamstress who takes on that action. I am super lucky to have one and know it ...... Thanks, CORA! (other dale?).

Just to set thing straight a tad Dale Jr (aka the other Dale) isn't a member of the forum. I had nothing to do with that suit in building it at all. C.O.R.A. (Jim) might have helped Dale with the suit, but unsure if he did or not. Both Dale and Jim live just miles from each other near Orlando FL

Can't wait to see your fully upgraded suit.

Please take a few detailed photos of the undersuit when you find the time.

I second that - good idea Mr Fett. The electronics of the costume are really interesting to me.

Pretty cool Cylon. What about the sound system?

Galactifan, Mardikrewe has quite the sound systems... here are the details I'm posting up for him.
_____________________

Mardikrewe's sound system.

Installed components:

1. 1st generation Nano Ipod.
2. 4 Altec Lansing 360 sound speakers (On sale at my Walmart for 10.00).
3. Battery back up (11 hours, ......... tested good for more).
4. Wireless remote control (works when it want to?).
Image

Yes, it does weigh a bit. Speakers are connected with spliters bought at Radio Shack for 3 dollars.
Might be considered by some ......... overkill?

Image
Wireless remote ............. bought off Ebay ......... 7 dollars.

The speakers themselves are powered by their own (3) AAA batteries so the Ipod does not drain so fast. I have actually used the system for 6 straight hours and still going.

STUPID LOUD! I think everything ran just over $100 to do as everything was on sale or from Ebay.

Guaranteed to turn heads from the noise level and once they see you .............. well, for some reason they continue to stare. hehe.

Actual sound track purchased from ChrisD (forum member) and another guy from Ebay (eye warble only).
Total all together with tracks ........ right at $150 (not counting the 12 batteries .... I already had a lot of rechargables). Same price as Kropserkel but I am 4 times louder with 6 different tracks I can play.......did I say loud?

That sound system is GREAT, and you kept the cost down - awesome job.

Say, I noticed your backpack... do you have the chrome door edge "stuff" on it (the stuff to protect a car door from paint chips when you open and hit stuff)?

When I used my replica suit as a walk around I used a much smaller system, and it was perfect for the job. A small set of power amp speakers for your iPod of other MP3 file player and it was awesome, but it did run about $100 total. Your system in the dollar department beat me hands down.

Hay Cylon Knight are you talking about this stuff?

Image

the stuff is indeed car edging made from plastic and in chrome. it's easy to cut and self adhesive. so simply cut it to length and push it into position. i have used it for all the exposed edges on my suit, including the neck seal. it gives a far better finish. can be purchased from here, but there should be plenty of places that sell it local to your country.
