Bicep Armour Band

Whilst I acknowledge that the originals were two piece, and joined together by chrome tape, I am thinking an idealised bicep band would not be to hard to come up with.

My thoughts extend to simple plumbing piping. This could be cut to the correct size (roughly 5 cm - I would need to measure my own pieces) and heated up to obtain the 'oval' shape instead of circular.

Depending upon the size of one's upper arm would dictate the diameter of the selected piping.

What are people's thoughts on this? I am not a fan of tape and seams, and am concerned that the tape could damage the chroming.

Very creative! Good idea... post some pictures when you have a prototype going.

Good idea, but one minor problem. The inside isn't a clean cut that is flush, it has a ridge that the pile your talking about doesn't have.

Hey Dale, do you mean a 'lip' on the underside of the edge?

My thoughts are that if you can't see it then it wouldn't matter - after all we are dispensing with the seam, so I wouldn't be try to replicate the original perfectly.

Yes the lip on the inside, but one thing you might think of is just use some easy to heat and bent plastic over the pipe. That way it will be about the same original type grade and thickness of plastic
