What a shine!

Great, thx.

Tell me, why do some helmets have the seam line?

The original helmets to help the prop guys and the actor out were seamed together as the actor suited up. Some of the guys had a big melon, and trying to pull the helmet over their head with the electronics was a challenge was they clam shelled the pieces together, and used the chrome tape to hide the seam. It was also used to hide the seam when able to fit over the actors head. After market helmets like fiberglass are a single piece, but that isn't the correct material used in the helmet.

Ah, that raises the question if you want it to be like the prop or a "real life" one...

I think I would like mine without seem line.

I'm with you SIR-ROUND... I would go for no seam too.

I guess we are looking at the choice between:
Accurate to the physical screen costume - and its 1978 construction limitations/requirements
vs.
Intent of the Cylon Centurion character/and your personal view on it

(toss in COST somewhere too ) Either way is great - and I'm glad to read about em all here on byyourcommand.net :P

Good effort so far on modding your costumes. I like what you have done with the inner boot armour.

Are the forearm gauntlets one or two piece?

Forearms are 2 piece. Yea, modded the gloves the Boots, helmet backpack and neckpiece.. I really don't know why he don't supply the costumes with the inner boot ring. (just plain lazynessfor the money !)
