Galactica viper pilot helmet from TheDutchCylon (Etsy)
I ordered a blaster with lights and sound from this guy and it's great. So when I saw an opportunity to order his fiberglass helmet I realized I didn't want to risk carrying around the actor-signed collectible one.
It looks pretty good to my untrained eye. Any thoughts?

Looks AMAZING!
So do you have two then - both from the same maker?
How much does it weigh?

No, I assume you're referring to the photos. Those are the maker's photos and I assume he made 2 helmets in one run. I received mine and it's overall very good! I am going to have to cut down the corners that are biting me in the temples when I try to wear it, but otherwise I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I do have a blaster made by the same guy and so I knew it would be safe to expect a quality helmet. It has solidity and heft very much like the EFX/MR viper helmet. The inside is lined with what seem to be formed foam shell halves, each covered in a faux crushed velvet-like material. The pinchy part can be seen in the lighted shot, the end of the black protrusion that runs the length of the inside of the upper LED strip, looks like rubber but is just painted black and my fat skull gets pinched directly in the temples by these on both sides. With some velcro-in helmet pads jammed in just the right spot I can wear it long enough for a photo op but hopefully I can just trim the material down on the back corners where it's stabbing me in the face and touch up the paint. The paint work is all very clean. The box it shipped in was the most solid packing job I've ever seen. The boxes my RS Propmasters helmets arrived in were like beanbag chairs compared with this box. The guy is an artist, right down to his logo stenciled on the side of the box.
