If he says sectar = month
Secton = week.

I shall go back and have a look.

In Greetings from Earth, it took about one secton for Michael's ship (the Avion) to get from the Galactica's location to Paradeen. And we know that the Avion was most of the way to Paradeen when the Galactica intercepted it.

If we assume the Eastern Alliance destroyer traveled at the same speed as the Avion, it might theoretically work out to 7 sectars/months to make it all the way back to the Terra system. The Avion was a sleeper ship, and a 7-month journey seems long enough to have warranted that mode of travel.

But the destroyers aren't sleeper ships, so we ought to assume they travel faster. After all, the destroyer that was patrolling near Paradeen was due back on Lunar Nine in three days. In that case, 7 months would be way too long for the trip from Paradeen back to Lunar Seven. And the destroyer could hardly carry enough food for 7 months anyway.

So, in summary, it makes little sense.

I think the secton (week) bit was added as some stations would have screened this story in two parts despite it being a longer episode! :cylon:
