Very nice! A couple questions for you: how does the shoulder patch look? I can sort of see the edge of it on your photo, but I can't get a clear view of it. Your other attachments don't seem to be loading (they all say "The selected attachment does not exist anymore"), so I'm not sure if they have a better image of it. Also, I noticed that there is no medical staff pin at the bottom-center of the collar. Is that something that was supposed to be part of the tunic or did they not have one available? I collect patches and pins for both TOS and NuBSG and the pair of medical insignia have always eluded me. Thanks very much!Jmvgreek1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 02, 2018 8:11 pmHere is a Few Pictures of my BSG Medic Tunic Costume the Tunic i had made for me By a Company Called www.cosplaystation.ca who is now selling this tunic on their website.

Huh...interesting! Thank you for the photo. Aside from being nearly twice the correct size, it looks pretty accurately done, in both texture and color. If you do work on getting some correct-sized medical patches and pins, I'd definitely like to get a set from you, if possible.
I spent a lot of time trying to research the origins of the medical patch and pin designs. The nearest I could find were various decorations from the Thai military. The four pointed star and crown on top of the minaret are very heavily influenced by southeast Asian motifs. Possibly Laotian or Cambodian too. Could never find an exact match, sadly, and I've been looking for over 15 years.

Agreed - they look beautiful. Better looking than the screen-used ones, I think. Very crisp design.

Re: My Attempt at a BSG Midic Tunic Costume
I just got two of them not long ago and they're beautiful! In many ways better quality than the originals that were made with older technology.
Now if only some blue ones were done up to finish the collection... hint, hint...

Re: My Attempt at a BSG Midic Tunic Costume
I've done a bit of digging on this piece in particular. It seems to be an amalgamation of two different objects, both of which appear to possibly derive from Thai, Cambodian or Laotian military/police insignia.
Count me in for two blue patches when you get them made, as well as two pins.

Awesome - can't wait to see them!
Yeah, I've had problems doing attachments on this site before. The system can be a little dodgy, especially if you try to insert multiple pictures into the same post. It oftentimes gets the links confused or lost entirely. I recommend Imgur.com for image hosting. I've tried that, ImageShack and PhotoBucket and Imgur, by far, is the easiest to work with. No file corruption or stream throttling.
