I recently remembered this speech Gene Roddenberry gave, which was included on the 1976 album "Inside Star Trek." It satirizes network censors by imagining how they would react if the Bible were submitted as a TV script.
If you look at the comments about Noah, you'll see what caught my attention in light of BSG's working title "Adam's Ark." Could Glen Larson have been inspired by this record?

No, Larson had the Adam’s Ark concept in 1973.
