I'd have to say Saga of Star World. Just has you hooked right from the start!

Both parts of "The Gun on Ice Planet Zero" weren't bad either.

It is a toss up for me. Saga, Living Legend, Gun, and Return of Starbuck

Re: Favorite episode
I've always enjoyed The Lost Warrior and Hand of God as well as Living Legend and War of The Gods! We should ask really what episodes we're not keen on!

This one is a hard one.
Living Legend I & II (Lorne Greene, Lloyd Bridges, and John Colicos)
War of the Gods I & II (This time Patrick McNee, instead of Lloyd Bridges. Can't go wrong!)
Lost Planet of the Gods I & II
Baltar's Escape (Just an enjoyable episode)
Murder on the Rising Star (Brock Peters)
The Young Lords (The banter between Baltar, Lucifer, and Specter is just so fun to watch!)

War of the Gods, followed closely by Lost Planet of same.
In terms of a one-part episode, Baltar's Escape is my favorite.

It's a good job then that you didn't first see the series on Thames or ATV here in the UK then as many of the Fire in Space's scenes were added to Mission Galactica:The Cylon Attack instead of just screening The Living Legend!

Re: Favorite episode
If memory serves, weren't Saga of a Star World, The Living Legend and Fire in Space all tied up in the two BG theatrically released films outside of the UK and not part of TV broadcasts ... at least initially?

Re: Favorite episode
Several episodes were combined into theatrical release in Europe but not the US. I am not sure if Saga was ever chopped up into anything but the stand alone episode.

Re: Favorite episode
Only three films were released theatrically:
Battlestar: Galactica (1978)
Mission Galactica: The Cylon Attack (1979)
Conquest of the Earth (1980)
The first two with Sensurround.
