Cylon build from Ireland

Hi everyone, I am going to document my cylon centurion build here!

I have ordered my armour from Kropserkel, should get this sometime in August.

My 20000mAh powerpack arrived yesterday but it is quite heavy, maybe it will be ok though.
Today I got my Roland VT3 and decksaver in the post, hooked it up to the battery and used my TRamp to test it, the TRamp is from my stormtrooper costume and actually sounds really good with this setup, I haven't tweeked the setting on the VT3 yet but sounds pretty good already!

Sounds GREAT!
Well done, Centurion. You are well on your way.

I think you are the first member to have a voice before a suit?! :sunglasses: Cool

Thanks, its because of all the great information and people on this forum that I am able to hopefully make this a build worthy of byyourcommand.net Image

:loveit: nice work, looking at a similar setup, where did you get your battery from?

Thanks, got the battery from ebay from an Irish seller, It is a good quality battery, apparently the cheaper ones often dont output what they say they will, it may be way more capacity than I need and it is quite heavy, I may downgrade to a smaller unit with less capacity, this one is 20000mAh.

Here is the link though if your interested:- http://www.ebay.ie/itm/ROMOSS-Dual-USB- ... 2749.l2649

Got my Rifle kit, many thanks to Hand-Schaub :loveit:

Think I have pretty much figured out how it goes together, still a bit unsure about the black stripped pieces that go over the top of the clear tube whether they are strips of abs or just electrical tape, any ideas anyone?

Before I full assemble the rifle I am going to look into sound and light for it, no one is really doing this at the moment so I might have a go myself, I bought a Arduino starter kit and am going to see how I get on with that, I have never done code before, yikes!

Sweet, thank you for that, this looks amazing for the size.
Could also be back up battery supply from a back pack for anyone wanting to recharge their phone from a cylon

@welshchris77 - I think the top black bars are just pure tape, yes. As odd as it is, a truly faithful 1:1 rifle is a heap of electrical tape.

pssst... lights and sounds are in the mix I know from Bionic Moon Labs. I've seen some early testing... WOW. ;)

Thanks for the info, may go with the black tape then, we will see!

Is bionic Moon labs using Ardunio for their microprocessors?

When needed an Ardunio, yes. But for simple circuits, 555 and 4017 chips... They do the same job and save on space, power needs, cost, etc.
