If you were doing a remake - NOT a reimagining - of the 1978 series, what actors of today would you cast in the roles?

Sadly, I don't know enough present-day actors to have any ideas.

Apollo: Ben McKenzie (Gotham)
Starbuck: Timothy Olyphant (Deadwood/Justified)
Boomer: Anthony Mackie (Captain America)
Adama: I had a really hard time with this one. Lorne Greene is such a difficult act to follow, combining caring father figure with religious leader with military leader. Olmos fell short as a father figure (intentionally) and left the religious aspect out of it entirely. He was really first and foremost a military leader only. Very few men currently of Greene's age come to mind for this role. Perhaps maybe Rene Auberjonois or John Larroquette (both of Boston Legal/Star Trek).
Tigh: Harry Lennix (The Blacklist)
Athena: Jaimie Alexander (Thor/Agents of SHIELD)
Cain: Jeff Bridges (he looks more and more like his dad every day) - or if not him, then Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy)
Baltar: Ian McShane (Deadwood - I can just hear him screaming, "Lucifer, you c*cksucker!")
Serena: Jennifer Morrison (House, Once Upon a Time)
Sheba: Megan Boone (The Blacklist)
Boxey: Written out of the story entirely
President Adar: Shelley Berman (Boston Legal - nobody plays a vapid old fuddy-duddy like this guy)

37th I need to go take a look at some of these people because I have no idea who they are but what I have seen on the choices you've made of the people I know I think those are very admirable decisions.

I think dropping Boxey would alter the show for the worse.
There would be no more "family" aspect. Okay, Adama has two full grown kids... "meh"... every adult is someone's kid.

I have no idea who to cast, I just want to see the show have a heart and soul again. So we Cylons can CRUSH THEM. K? Super.

And the most important question: Who's going to provide the voice for the Imperious Leader?

No one is a perfect as Patrick was, but how about Benedict Cumberbatch?
Smaug, Khan, Imperious Leader! wheeeeee

Cumberbatch seems appropriately sonorous.

But would he play Iblis too?

I think German actor Udo Kier would make a good Iblis or Baltar too...

We still lack a Cassie.
Someone on Facebook suggested Amy Poehler.

Now we are talking. My vote for Amy as Cassie.
