This is an illustration I made back in 2010 of the "6th Millennium Fighter" flown by "The Enforcers" in the TOS episode "The Long Patrol" that Starbuck ran into. Based on what I've read, there were apparently two of these models made, each with subtle differences in details and paint schemes. A second one was quickly built when the first one was allegedly stolen before filming could be completed. This illustration contains composite details of both filming miniatures.

Wow! Bloody awesome! I've never seen that dorsal comparison before. And honestly, I think they did a really good job making the second one look like the first. Thanks very much for posting that!

If I recall the original disappeared just before filming of the ship so a quick scramble was made to build a second version. It was kind of sloppy, but did what it was made to do.
