I totally see where you're coming from, I wouldn't want to have the responsibility of my 'yes' or 'no' leading to someone else spending a large amount of money. I guess all I'm asking is 'from what you can see in the pictures, do you think the kit looks accurate''. - I'd also be happy for anyone else reading this to chime in with their thoughts.

If I have any reservations, it's wondering if the bottom of the helmet flares out enough, and to my eye the 'chin' seems quite thick, and possibly that the eagle sits a little high - but again it's very hard to tell from the photos used.

The viper helmet is my 'Grail' piece, and I've been influenced by the overall price, which, while not cheap, is a fraction of other helmets I've seen and possibly my only chance at owning one.

Sorry to be a nuisance..... :erk:

Glad to sound off on this and you are not a nuisance with the questions.

I am sorry I don't have the knowledge of the information you are looking for give you a thumbs up or thumbs down on this. I say just go with what you feel in your gut.

All I can say at the moment is since I have my 3d printer, I've looked at thingiverse and down loaded a viper helmet then printed a half scale version to check what it is like, its not bad for a free copy of what looks like a very close prop.
I'll post a pic of it soon.

Here is a couple of shots of the 1/2 scale helmet from my printer, the last one is with the full size horsey with its broken leg, I'll have to reprint that one.

I think that 3d printing is definately the way to go, especially for prototyping or making anything in any scale which is great.
I thought that doing a half scale helmet is good for target practice.

Oh I hear ya! Seems the way forward and a relatively cheaper format for prototyping. I'd.be list without mine.

Print part - sand down - paint - use. Literally is that simple.

Depending on the size of the part you're making just shoot it with three coats of filler primer then there should be very little sanding to worry about.
Hey Mackuk what type of printer do you have, mine is a crealty cr10s, very good size for medium build size applications. :cylon:
