It has bugged me that Apollo tells Starbuck to "take care of the stomach" after Starbuck has failed to say the line about "my stomach... too many cigars." Apparently the director wanted to go for the long take with the three-shot and thought it had the best performances, but I suspect Dirk forgot to say the stomach line in that take.
So now I've stuck that line in from the close-up take on the DVD. This involved applying a lot of EQ to Starbuck's voice, superimposing the background rumble of the ship, and adjusting brightness, contrast, and color saturation to try to match the rest of the scene. Here is the result:

Nicely done; thanks! What DVD and where did the "too many cigars" clip come from?

Thanks... It was in the deleted scenes for Saga of a Star World in the "Complete Epic Series" set. One of the first few scenes, naturally.Joe Atari wrote:Nicely done; thanks! What DVD and where did the "too many cigars" clip come from?

I do like that version over the aired version, but then anymore air time is always a win in my book. Thanks for posting it.

I kind of suspect that the only reason they finally did cut away from the master shot in that scene was because one of Apollo's buckles was starting to reflect a distracting gleam onto the set.
