In honor of Hand-Schaub's awesome ongoing IL-Series Cylon head build, I thought it's appropriate to start a series of screencaps:

Note the different painting pattern on the early Lucifer head from "Lost Planet of the Gods".



It's also obvious that they've used considerably more LED's/bulbs for forming up the lower light bar inside the mouth.

I never saw the first IL head like that. If I ever make more than 4 of these guys I'll paint one up like that. I also like it because it shows more of the rope light too.

So for the mouth... what are the combinations?
10 bottom and 10 top on Lucifer 1
6 bottom/ 5 top on all other ILs?

The Gold Lucifer is from Saga of Star World, right? Maybe there was another head for series use?

Okay, I've been watching Specter (The Young Lords) and Lucifer (The Living Legend) and I can say I think all have the same light setup...
And for SURE the lower lip is 5 (you can see it clearly on Lucifer in TLL. And it is my view the top is 7 from both ILs in the two shows.
Also, in TLL the Gamaray ILs clearly have both top and bottom lit at once. It sort of seems that Lucifer/Specter switch on and off from top to bottom only with either other line... but I think that is just the angle of the camera/prop head.

That's what it seems to me from pausing, making a cap, then zooming in and drawing/counting dots on the light bulb hot spots. (5 lower is dead on for sure.)

Awesome. #44 has both "lips" on clearly. That mouth plastic angles have to be "hiding" one or the other from time to time.

cool - I think this will uncomplicate my design. I was going to have two seperate units to light the top and bottom but now I think I have a way to make it simpler. I guess we can ignore my last post in the other thread.

Cool, I also think it would look better to have them both lighted instead of just one, don't you think?

I noticed that Baltar's neck line has the white neck area detail - the same "Cylon" design queues found on the Centurion mouth grill, chest and the raider cockpits, etc.
