Languatron

One of my favorite props is the languatron but photos are scarce. I looked through the gallery briefly but didn't catch too many images. One image I would like to have is from this auction. Surely we have others available? If not, I may just have to get this picture which is a great investment for many other reasons :)

There are detailed photos posted, well that will be reposted. Red Eye has his hands full, but even a gif file of it flashing is out there. Give it a little time if not already posted.

It isn't much, but here's what I came up with. Hope it helps:

Thanks - I did get that one. The other looks like a white box but I'm sure it will show up. Do we know what keyboard those came off of? There is no "reset" on a standard modern keyboard...as a matter of fact, none of those are on the keyboard I'm using. I know there are sticker transfer sets out there for replacing key letters. hmmm.

The auction photo has the white keys which they used as a source picture for Adama's 12 inch figure. I assume they used the white keys computer in "Lost planet of hte Gods" as a portable computer I still like the actual "Languatron" because of the obvious and cheap name tag on the front.

The "white keys" device is a transponder, based on the Languatron design:

At work it does for me too, a white box... at home I don't know yet!
Right clicking and going to Properties I got the URL of the image...

Try this:

Or directly going to the image at: http://screenfabrications.com/transponder.jpg

(huh, after posting the white box is now an image ... huh ... magic?!)

^ I asked a web expert friend, ChrisPappas.com has steps to prevent hotlinking of images. That's what's going on.

Thanks a bunch! I never knew how different they were. I just thought they used the same one considering you never see the face if the data tansponder. Damn - now I have to make two!

That Languatron kind of reminds me of one of my old TV remote controls. LOL
Going to try to make one myself.
I work with computers for a living and I also do hardware upgrades.
That photo that was posted here is very handy.

Since I started the thread I have done very little on my project. What I would most like are retro keys...or at least acceptable stickers to use on the keys. ANybody have a sense of directions to go? I know some people make replacement stickers for keyboards but from what origianl keyboard do you think these props are based off of?

Along the same lines as the first post, does anybody have a super high resolution photo of this Jensen photo? It's a better view of the languatron. Or at least the other version of it.
