Scanner from Jupiter electronics.....
I just recently ordered this off ebay to go into my (soon to be built) C.O.R.A helmet. It powered up right away and seems really nice to me...much better looking in person than the video on their site. It has a variable speed function that i like so i can time it to the warble effects once i get them set up(no sound on the unit however). It also has a intermittent mode as well. It seems really well put together and profesionally done. It has 24 red l.e.d s and came w/ a red diffuser. it's also set up to handle 6.5 to up to 14 volts and currently runs on a 9v battery. All in all thus far i'm pretty impressed with the quality for the price (around 49 bux us).I want to see what the leds will looks like with the current diffuser and the C.O.R.A combined. I'll post a video once i get a chance or you can check out their site. They have some other pretty cool stuff i thought of using for the backpack or gauntlets as well.
Just thought i would throw this out there and see what y'all thought if you haven't happened to see it before.

I have one of those eye scanners also, and for a 24 light scanner i like it.

I'm pretty happy with it...granted it's my first one, so i was like a kid on xmas when it came. Mocked it up briefly in my crap-job papercraft helmet i did up. It was encouraging to just have something wearable, well done or not. I'm waiting for my cora helmet kit to show up so i can get started on a real build piece by piece. Hopefully i'll have the whole thing done by halloween this year.

I've been waiting to pull the trigger on this one. For the price it didnt seem bad since I've got to light 2 helmets for display (KS silver and KS gold - bought "b"grades to keep project costs down per helmet)
Really holding out for groupleaderzeta's LED scanner, and looking forward to the (upcoming?) grain of wheat one.

no video as of yet...i'll post one in the next day or so.somepics of my cora helmet....I used "chrome" spray paint and HATE the finish. The inside visor needs a bit of evening out. I'm trying to track down a chromer in canda...but it's proving to be harder than i thought. Next step is the Forearms!

Re: Scanner from Jupiter electronics.....
So.......
Ive tried uploading a video from my iphone a few times to no avail. I'll keep trying though!
I re-primed the helmet as I HATED the chrome paint. I figure I'll finish all the pieces to the armour and then get it all properly done at once. I figure this way i can get everything mocked up w/ the undersuit etc and not have to worry about having to do something to it once it's chromed. I have the shoulder bells, gauntlets and bicep pieces on the way from C.O.R.A,so i'll post those as well when they arrive.Heres a couple of pics of the helmet as it is now.

Re: Scanner from Jupiter electronics.....
Kind of the eventual "look" I want to go for once it's completed. I'm debating on whether I should do the undersuit "leather" pieces in abs plastic or not. I know it's not 1978 cylon,(forgive me!),but could look really cool. The thight pieces especially.

Looks great - your take on the under suit will be killer. Go for it!
