Remake Discussion

So, I read a little blurb online the other day trying to dig up more news on the impending remake of The Black Hole.
I found something disturbing... They are going to try and make the new move more "actual" as possible - by that - they mean based on scientific fact.
While I guess that could be neat, I fear it will limit the story possibilities and or stray far away from the original movie's basic plot and or turn it into a lame science lesson with more impressive egg head facts than character drama.
