:cylongold: Toy's of the 60's and 70's

:cylon: Ok I thought I would jog some old memories with this thread...

I was watching The Santa Claus 2 this afternoon and the scene where they are at the very boring christmas party and Tim Allen breaks out the the santa bag and gives all the adults the toy's they never got (But Wanted) as a kid, Toss Across, Easy Bake Oven, Rock um Sock Um Robots, Battleing Tops......I had all of those toy's! ....even the easy bake oven....Well for boy's it was called the creepy crawler factory.

Seeing that scene reminded me of my love for the old toy's

I spent alot of time collecting pics of the toy's I use to have when I was a kid (another sorta hobby). and If you are my age you will remember that there were no computers untill 1977, there were no video games until the late 70's and the home units did not come until later..There was no internet! There was no politicly correct crap! and the toy's were designed for kids to have fun and not for every toy to be an educational experience, or too safe to play with. :erk:

So moslty toy's were the entertainment of the day and these are the toy's I had (and could remember having) Maybe you guy's had some of these too! Don't be shy! jump in!......Enjoy :cylon:

I remember we had:
-The Robot From Lost In Space (still have two of him around my house)
-The hand crank movie projector, VERY FUN
-I remember the Water Powered Rockets, but not playing with them. Must have been my older brother's.

GOOD TIMES!
Great finds Big Al. Truly such classic toys are treasures!

Do you remember the jaws toy / game. I loved that. Later they did one based off the alligator film but that may be 1980. Did you guys have the alien doll, I took that into preschool show and tell.

:cylon: Aggravation, This was the game that introduced the "Pop-O-Matic" dice roller....A plastic dome that captivated the die and a peice of spring metal at the bottom when you would press down on the dome the metal would pop the dice and one of the biggest problems with board games back then was loosing the dice. this solved the problem.
