This is the one I have and it's Circa Late Fifty's early sixties
Of course it looks nothing like the one were looking for but it's an example.

I have been scouring for about an hour now and still come up empty.

But I will keep trying

new prototype...

Top pic is screen cap, notice the vertical bars on backpack and hand, these were used as reference points. The last pics are of the new prototype. It don't have the prob or buttons yet. the clear things on the top are for the lights.

Now is it me or the lighting. The 1st non screen cap photo the tool looks like it is made of wood, while the other 2 look like foam core board.
Also what are the changes you have made in this version over the last. I take it is just a dimensional change you have made.
Can you set it next to the original build, and maybe that soda can like the first prototype to see the difference.

Also add the Red Eye screen cap in this posting.

Uni loves to recycle props don't they...maybe just in the 70's

Second prototype size... 6 inches tall by 3 5/8 wide by 1 inch thick overall.

I only posted 1 screen cap, the first pic. The others are of my prototype and made of wood. I would say its the lighting playing tricks.

Its vary interesting that studios often reuse props, by repainting or adding stuff.

From the looks of the two different ref pics (Starbuck/Hawk) they didn't change anything on that one!

I don't have a great screen cap but I think they changed the Antenna and the thing on the end. When Starbuck picks it up and sets it down I didn't see the thing on the end.

I suspect that the thing on the end is a push button switch..

I see it now on hawks belt and it looks like your right!....I can't tell in the starbuck pic cause his hand is over the bottom.

Nice increase in the build. Looking like you have it now.

should I make the button on the end as part of the case or should I make it usable?
the button itself is a momentary push-button, and would increse the complexity of the control circuit.

What is the plan. Have auto random flashing, and buttons that do nothing? I like to have the random flashing when triggered, and a push button to give an other pattern in the lights. Busy looks good on screen.

The plan is "simple".
It looks like in the show that the 5 colored single lights blink in sequence from the probe to the large panel, and that the large panel is lit dim until the sequence starts then brightens up. I am still working out how to activate the sequence, idea is a touch to the probe, starts the sequence, but I need a way to turn unit on/off.
