Nice pics! Thanks for sharing.

The gold Cylon looks like his armor were made using the papercraft instructions from BazookaJoe...

Well, it turns out the eye kit on my helmet did not burn out. Besides the on-off switch on the battery box, there was also a on-off switch for the circuit board, which was hidden by padding and got itself switched off.

Now I want to "upgrade" to a in-helmet voice changer, but I don't have the funds to go for the $400 Hyperdyne model. So, off in search of halloween "robot voice" changers... :cylon:

Also, had a good idea sparked by a Snowtrooper at Phoenix ComiCon - hiding a camelbak in either the chest plate or that friggin heavy backpack. I'm thinking since my helmet sits nearly right on top of the neck ring, I can hide the hose fairly easy (hydration while in full-helmet costumes is very important here in Arizona). Going to add a mini-fan to the helmet soon as funds recover from ComiCon.

Here's my appearance at the Scottsdale's ZAP! A Costume Ball:

(The Jawa is my daughter. That blue tube is a platipus pack in the backback, the hose kept popping out of the neck ring, but that's gonna be fixed for the next outing)

Mdublade - GREAT PICS! The Jawa is tooo cool. Did you make it?

Who won the contest? I BET it was the hot Biker Scout Babe in the bottom right of the crow pic. CYLON-KNIGHT MIND APPROVED!

The Jawa my daughter wore is one of the hand-me-down Jawa's that's floating around our local 501st group (darn kids tend to outgrow them too fast). Of course, each time a Jawa gets handed down, it gets a little more added (my contribution this round is an actual Swiss Mauser bandolier belt, to replace the cardboard boxes/hand-sewn bandolier of the previous wearer).

The winner of the Costume Ball was the group of Gears of Wars guys. They're also members of the local 501st. (So is the Fem Biker Scout).

Well, looks like my next chance for a Cylon outing will be Tucson's ComiCon in November - that should give me time to do some more tinkering/adjustments....
