*Official* Belt Thread

The 1978 Cylon Centurion has a "found object" for their belt, that is modified with chrome power cell covers. It is a G&M Power Products cameraman belt. The power from the belt's power cells actually powers the eye scanner.

Screen accurate details:
  • G&M Power Products
    Hollywood, California
    Model: GM4X1NP
  • 110 volts
  • 7 power cells
Low cost/other alternatives:
  • G&M 6 cell belts could be used as a stand in
  • Some use the Cine 60. A 6, 7 or 8 cell belts. This is an OK alternative

Notes:
  • G&M became Victory Battery, then Powerhouse. And now Powerhouse is out of business.

    G&M
  • G stands for Gidon Benokiva.
  • M stands for Jerry Mizelli.
  • Jerry became the sole owner when he bought out Gidion and re-named to Victory Battery. Victory Battery was sold about 4 years ago to Powerhouse (now out of business). So, all original sources are now gone.

Goldcylon, Still looking for the second part of the video video??

If anyone has a correct power belt could you post close up pics of the control box showing jacks, switches, and any other details.
and could you measure one of the cell holders from the belt, Height, width, thickness.

thanks
