Mostly costumes to start out with, and a few other cool things.

Even Muffit from 1978 made a showing.

I made my 1st, and only bid tonight, and I won. I bid on the foam core Cylon cut out of the U-87.

Cool news! But we need a photo of you holding it when it arrives ;) BEAUTY and the BEAST - lol

I was lurking on them all the time they were up... I almost bid on the Daniel's tennis outfit from the pilot, I figured that was pretty iconic, when he got the news that Zoe was dead. BUT, I figured even though it was screen used (not a backup, concept, or development item) it would just be money that I should be spending on my Cylon, etc.

Nothing really CALLED to me in rounds one or two. Maybe they will have a round three auction that I'll see something I must have. The first round was okay, the second one had much more cool stuff.

In round 1 I would have like to have grabbed the U-87 wooden crate lid, but when it reached the $300 mark I knew it wasn't for me. The side pieces that were offered up tonight were OK, but I wouldn't bid on them unless I had the top. Now if they offer up a side panel that has U-87 branding on it then we are talking.

I guess a Holoband would be the most cool for me to buy, something SO unique to Caprica and central to the story... however EVERYONE would want it like me. The price would be HIGH I'm sure.

A Holo-band would be cool, but yeah the cost will be very expensive. Only 7 bands were made and two of those were HERO version. One of the Uni bosses took one leaving only one HERO to be sold.

Yes a Hero Holoband would rule.

Say, I never heard of/thought of a "back up" prop till I read about them in the second round of Caprica items.

So, there are what classifications for props? Anyone have a listing?
I figure there are:
Hero - total quality, functioning item - screen used.
Stunt - passing quality/not functioning item background-ish prop - screen used.
Backup - Hero -OR MAYBE?- stunt quality? - but ultimately never screen used.

@ Red Eye - do you know maybe if Profiles in History has some such scale to rate props by? There has to be a standard for collectors to go off of or prices would be all over the place.

HERO = Used for close up or the highest detailed item used. Like a Colonial Blaster that has a working light. I bet only about 5 or 6 were made while the rest were just resin dummies.

Back up = A stand in copy that is ready to go if some reason like the hero is drop, and damaged.

Stunt = Used for shoot that is will be man handled, drop or what ever that could damage a fragile HERO. Not that is was made to be thrown, dropped or tossed in most cases, but lacks detail that a HERO has. For a idea most of the holo-bands were back ground version. They were say seen in hand, or on a table top and they weren't turned on. Hero version in most cases were kept of set in many cases to protect them unless they were needed in a take. Also on my Cylon helmet I have a back ground mouth grill, and a HERO. The HERO has shape crisp edges, while the back ground as rounded edges.

That's a very good question... they must have their own kind of prop rating systems.

But I don't know if it's official or to be used by the PiH staff only.

The only standard is the Hollywood standard in the lingo. Most of the lingo is old school from back in the 20's when the place was starting to ignite into the movie capitol of the world.

I found this site with a quick "Type of props" search, or something like that. Cool site! They have a big list of Hero, Backup, etc. etc. terms that must be pretty common.
