UNBELIEVABLE FIND!

Hello friends! It's been a long time since I've logged in here, been very busy.

I had to share this with you, Finally the music from the classic series, composed by Stu Phillips, is being uploded to YouTube. The Battle Star Gallactica Original Motion Picture (Official Sound Track) is rare and expensive... It happens to be some of my favorite music of all time. A fellow is uploading all the original tracks in HQ!

I have downloaded some of the ones he has uploaded so far..... With this music I have been able to make a vid from my favorite scene of the entire series, the EPIC first battle of 'Saga Of A Star World', where Apollo and Zach first battle the Cylon Raiders above the old moon....
I LOVE this music by Stu Phillips!

In this vid, I reshow the original footage with the original music redubbed over the scene...
The audio from the scene is turned way down, putting the emphasis on the MUSIC itself.
I don't have all the music yet, but once I do, I will upload the entire battle scene with the music WAY up, exactly timed to match the original release.

This vid is only me playing around, with the idea I have.... to show the visuals with the audio being MAINLY the original music exactly matched to the scene.
I hope you guys enjoy this!

I warn you not to turn your volume up until you have watched the entire vid, at least once.
-Don't let the bad quality of my cam rip and audio at the beginning, fool you.
Once the original music kicks in, you'll definitely see why I made this vid.

I can hardly wait to make the complete battle scene vid with music only (or rather, mostly)!

Here is my vid:

and here is the gentleman's first vid, that will lead you to his channel and the rest of his heroic uploads!:

These vids nearly brought me to tears.

God bless all you fans and Merry Christmas!!!!

Awesome find Starbuck! And GREAT video work.

I have this soundtrack - do you know if it is much different than the one that is in the sencond video you posted? I think maybe mine is a re-release of the same music with new art?

(P.S. I edited your post so the YouTube vids show up)

Thanks for fixing my link prob' 'bro!
(you might have to do it again on this one)lol!

Anyway, HERE IT IS GUYS! -This is a draft, and if anyone has any suggestions before I finalize it, please let me know. One thing I will NOT do, is make a "Music Only" edit of this.
This scene is just too sacred to me, to take it apart like that...
It was never ment to be watched with ONLY the music.

I have however, GREATLY emphasized the music here, after many, many hours of work.
It was much more difficult than I expected, the pieces used here are scattered over 4 of the OST tracks. Some of them are looped, cut, and otherwise edited in ways that would be nearly impossible to reproduce without MONTHS of work...

However, hardcore fans of this scene, like me, should enjoy this VERY much!
Some of my editing here (synch) borders on perfection, other places are a little off.

I actually stumbled on how to fix one piece to match almost perfectly by accident... I'm sure glad I saved the file before having a power outage, I would have NEVER got it right like this again!

the first thing you'll notice is the first piece (in the launch bay) is looped, so I let the original vid play it. The OST can't just be 'dropped in' and made to fit this scene. I tried to remake the original loop with F.L.Studio, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how they did it.

I do however, start the music EXACTLY where the OST DOES begin. The music is MUCH louder than the sounds of the vid (so be careful with volume) it is also HQ.

This is one of the most fantastic scenes I've ever seen in a movie (the music matches the vid
and is INCREDIBLE!) The visuals and other sounds are a match for the music.
Stu Phillips is a musical GENIUS! how anyone could have created something like this, God only knows...

I get very emotional about this scene... Aside from some scenes in the original Predator, Star Wars, and AirWolf, this is the most spectacular movie scene both musically and visually, that I've ever seen. It is truely in my top 3!

After I made the vid, I converted it to a wave file, then burned it to a cd.
I then took it out to my Hummer H2 (which has a Bose Sound System and 12" subs).
I have to admit.... I cried.... I only dreamed of being able to hear the music like THIS, but I never thought it would really happen.. But now, it has.

I have no problem with you guys using savevid (or other site) to download it from the'Tube, convert it to a wavefile, burn it, and listen to it on your hi-fi.
The soundtrack isn't available ANYWHERE else, like THIS! (Matched to the scene).
-Believe me, I've been searching for years.
God bless and Merry Christmas to all!!!

Does anyone know if there's any sound tracks from the other episodes in the t.v. series available???? I'd love to get ahold of the music from "The Lost Warrior' and some others.
Ohh, what I could do with that!

Thanks ALOT Red Eye! And here's one for you!
I couldn't have done this without your help...

This is a draft and part of the pieces are still missing, the ones that count the most are here and matched. I almost never figured out what was going on with the battle scene music until I listened over and over to several pieces and realized that it starts with Ocean Of Darkness and then switches to Vipers Vs Cylon Raiders... I rematched this work pretty good, but it's not quite perfect, yet.

Special thanks to Red Eye for providing me the true original music used in the movie we all love so dear!
