I'll dig up some stuff tonight I have (when I get home) - I know there is info on a studio scale classic BSG Cylon tanker, what is needed, etc.

And there MIGHT be a smaller kit too... I'll look that up tonight too. But it would probably cost a bit.

The eBay seller had been listing those tankers every few weeks to months. He isn't flooding the market so he is keeping the price on it up.

PARTIAL KIT LIST:
(Because you'll need MANY to make a studio scale one, and I don't have a complete list, just this bit.)
(It would be like making a studio scale Galactica, buying all the vintage kits will get PRICY.)

1/72 Hasegawa Leopold
1/25 Tamiya British Centurion
1/35 Tamiya British 25 Pdr Field gun
1/72 Hasegawa Leopold
1/15 Bandai Hummel
1/144 Airfix Saturn V

And I couldn't find anything on a kit to buy, sorry.

I've been looking at that, dbhs.

@dbhs - In your expert view, what would you GUESS a SS Cylon Tanker would run to build in "round hundreds." Using vintage parts.
... $100... $300... $500... More?

Sorry for the long delay answering. I got back from an extended trip and still making the rounds online among other things.

I would say definitely over $500. I'm not familiar with the entire kit list but I believe several kits needed are out of production (= more $, sometimes a lot more).
It also depends on whether or not you can cast (or get) duplicates or are only willing to use original parts where multiples are needed. The body of this one needs to be laser cut from acrylic which costs money too. My guess is that you'd be looking at between $1000 and $1500 total. The guys doing the actual research over at SSM could probably help you nail this down better.

You need 3 of the NuBee/ Plasticart Wostok-1 kits for the tanker( not the Revell Vostok as the parts are different), 2 Airfix Harriers for the fan and missle pod parts on the engines, and 2 leggs eggs as well.
