Cylon auctions on eBay

Post by Red Eye » Sat Aug 07, 2010 6:15 am

The seller "rdtin" has some Cylon-related items for sale:

http://cgi.ebay.com/CYLON-ARMOR-BATTLES ... ltDomain_0

http://cgi.ebay.com/BATTLESTAR-GALACTIC ... ltDomain_0

The armor kit looks like it's been made by C.O.R.A, but I'm not sure if the battery belt is a genuine G&M Power-made belt...

Not sure if that is C.O.R.A. items or not. Some of it is off, and isn't his, while of the items can be.

The sword pics confuse me. There seems to be one with a painted handel and the other has an all white (unfinished?) handel.

The chest looks a bit like C.O.R.A.'s. The skirting looks good.

Too bad no one is ever selling just a scanner! :(

OK I found about this suit. I didn't notice the user name till C.O.R.A. pointed it out. Some of you guys here recall Dale Jr. He lives near C.O.R.A. in FL, and the suit is a bit of a older pull that C.O.R.A. sold. C.O.R.A. has since updated some of the parts. I spoke with Dale Jr via email about 2 months ago and I was under the impression all these pieces were sold already. I was looking to buy something else that he would sell.
As for the sword it is photos of the build as a kit to finish item.

There are two new Cylon auctions on eBay.

The first one is a complete fanmade Centurion costume. I think the seller did a good job building this costume for Halloween only. But see for yourselves: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 26otn%3D27

The second one is very interesting. The seller stated that it was used during the "Battle of Galactica" ride at Universal Studios, so it should be VERY close to a screen-used costume. Unfortunately the photos at the auction doesn't do the justice. Hopefully the seller decides to uplaod a few better ones... I think I can vaguely remember to have seen this auction some years before, but I'm not certain... nevertheless, here's the link to it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %26otn%3D2

Both of those are very interesting, most the one being claimed as a Studio Tour suit. I have exchanged a email with the seller already once and he can't supply anymore photos. Some of the story about how he got the suit doesn't add up, but it could be he doesn't recall the story correctly or it was told to him wrong, but a few good photos, or a phone conversation might help answer clear up some details about the suit.

The first is a pretty cool fan made suit. You can tell they were just going for the "overall look." Very nice, but as you other Cyon's know not toooo 1:1. (The stickers make Cylon-Knight shiver ) The scanner also seems to move in chunks of lights - not a smooth LED to LED flow. But for the current price it might be worth it to get this suit for parts?!

The second... huuummmmmm... again, since I'm obsessed with the stickers, I'm not certain that it is a BOG suit unless the stickers were replaced. They have yellow on them. 1978 BSG Cylons didn't have BRIGHT yellow on the stickers.
This Universal BOG Cylon in the photo with Mr. Dude here: http://www.byyourcommand.net/cylongalle ... temId=1233 has no yellow on his stickers.

BOG Prop Cylons had no yellow on thier stickers either: http://www.byyourcommand.net/cylongalle ... temId=1403

This Cylon pic makes me laugh. He seems VERY annoyed at the kids, but is "doing his time" among the human. *sigh* the price of Space Robot Stardom :P

I just bid on the first one - for Haloween drinking parties use - all party people are looking for is an impression, and this will work. If I win it , may refurbish it and post pics. Thanks for the heads up!

I spoke with the seller and he really doesn't offer much more information that want is on the site. Conflicts of posted information over the knowledge I know. Not sure about this suit.

It's a bit ood that he can't post additional photos of the costume.

Juding by his feedbacks, he doesn't seems to be very reliable at all.

Thanks for contacting him anyway, Dale!

I agree. The stickers also bothered me a little...

I've also seen it's received its first bid now (from somebody of this forum maybe?).

Personally, I'd take it just for the undersuit...

Now, the first video Cylon impressed me hitting the ping pong ball once! THAT was amazing in itself!

Yes, I guess we have to practice a bit before we can hit it twice!
