For my 80's style Cyber Leader costume, which is still in the making, we (my grandfather and I) are planning to build a Cybergun for completing the costume.

I'll keep you posted once the build have been started, we're busy building the pedestal for the Leader throne right now.

Here's a pic of a screen-used Cybergun so all of you can imagine how it will look like:

Very nice - good idea to add that "extra bit more" to the costume.

Looking forward to watching the build :D

Lucky as I am, I was able to pick up a recast of one of those air car fresheners which were used to build the front part of the muzzle.

These items were pretty common in the early 1980's but today it's kind of tricky to locate such scarce prop parts like so many other stuff used back in the days...

Here's the link were I found it, in case you're interested: http://www.mooncrest-models.co.uk/prop% ... spares.htm

I was just looking at the photo, and wondering what that item was, and figure it was found, and then there it was a later post., not only found, it is being sold in a recast version of a air fresher...LoL..nice. Good luck with the build.

Thank you all!

UPDATE: The seller contacted me that the air freshener is on its way from the U. K. to Germany, so it will arrive shortly.

They also offer a finished Cybergun on their site, but I haven't asked for the price yet.

Here's a link again anyway: http://www.mooncrest-models.co.uk/cyber-gun.htm

I've got the resin recast of the air car freshener for my Cybergun last week and I must say that the quality of the item is very good. There are hardly any air bubbles on the surface.

But it's still a raw cast (like described) and will require some work removing the ridges (most notably between the "vents").

I'll post a few pics of it as soon as I got everything cleaned up if you like.

At long last, I've finished cleaning up the vents for the air car freshener of the Cybergun.

Here are a few pics:

The Cybergun itself is also taking shape now. I'll upload some photos of it soon as well...

I don't know why, but I'm quite taken by the design of this weapon.

So I really can't wait until I can hold it in my own 'lil (Cyber)hands...

But before we can continue working on it, we have to wait until the muzzle and detail kit from Mooncrest arrives...

Will the gun have any electronics/sounds - lights?

Haven't thought on it yet, but I doubt it. Perhaps version 2.0 (if there will be one) will have some lights...

By the way: The detail parts have arrived today!

The guys at Mooncrest has done an excellent job again. The casting is very clean and there's little to no need for cleaning up the parts...

I'll post a few photos of the kit soon.

I guess it's time to continue working on it soon...
