Oh there has to be some collector that owns a hero Cylon rifle that's not a scrooge, and willing to share photos/info on it.
What good is having it if you can't impress a bunch of Cylon geeks by showing it off!

Dude's not going to impress his Grandma with a Cylon rifle if he only show's family and friends.

There are only 2 of those rifles, so the chance of finding it is slim, and since they haven't barked it out they own it I just don't see if surfacing for a long time if ever again. It might have gone into the under ground collectors that trade with a select group of fellow collectors that don't mention to others what they have.

I was chatting my best-est Cylon pal, sean, about the rifle...
Really - a hero, or even prop rifle - is great for a collection. However, for a "modern day" Cylon to attend a Con, or Halloween, or whatever - a 1:1 rifle is really... well... lame -
no sounds.
The original 1978 hero and prop rifles had no self contained sound effects themselves (TV Magic did that in post production).
Today's well dressed, and happing Cylon would do better with a modern day rifle (equipped with sound) to razzle dazzle at the Cons with.
Did you hear that? That was a cool rifle *ZAP* lol
Same way the eye sound is added to 99% of Cylon builds for that needed *umph* of realism/coolness... the rifle needs that little *umph* the originals never needed to have.

Modern days electronics can with easily make lights, and sounds, and even a sophisticated one can put some kick into it.

Maybe somebody should get in touch with the guys at Profiles who sold the two hero rifles some years ago.
But I'm afraid they don't have the permission to tell us anything about the buyer nor providing a name or something... so it will remain a mystery who owns the rifles now...
